How do I add my Google Analytics ID to my domain's "For Sale" landing page?

Our "For Sale" landing page is an awesome tool for selling your domains, and now you can easily track your statistics too!

Google Analytics ID

A Google Analytics ID is a unique identifier assigned to each website or app in Google Analytics, the go-to platform for tracking user behavior! In Google Analytics 4 (GA4), this tracking ID is called the Measurement ID. It usually follows the format "G-XXXXXXX", where "XXXXXXX" is your special alphanumeric code. You might also hear it referred to as the "Google Tag ID".

To find your Measurement ID, just follow the steps in this helpful guide: Find Your Measurement ID.

Add Google Analytics ID

You can add it in the "Aftermarket Settings", and your Google Analytics ID will appear when you list your domain for sale.

  1. Sign in to your Dynadot account.
  2. Select "Aftermarket" from the left-side menu bar and click "Aftermarket Settings" in the drop-down.
  3. Scroll down to the "Use For-Sale Landing Page" section, enter your Measurement ID.
  4. Click on the "Save" button at the top right corner of the page.

If your domain is already listed for sale:

  1. Sign in to your Dynadot account.
  2. Select "My Domains" from the left-side menu bar and click "Manage Domains" in the drop-down.
  3. Check the box next to the domain name where you want to add your Google Analytics ID.
  4. Select "Sell Domain" from the "Action" drop-down menu.
  5. Check the "For sale landing page" option. Please note that this will override any DNS or name server settings currently being used, but the current settings will stay saved in your Dynadot account.
  6. At the bottom of the "Use For-Sale Landing Page" section, enter your Measurement ID into the designated box.
  7. Click on the "Save Settings" button to save the changes.

You're all set to track your traffic!
