I have configured over 10 users on IMAP. Every one of those behaves poorly. IMAP fails to deliver locally into Outlook (365 - Win 11). It sends multiple copies. It is so unusable that I deleted the email configuration in outlook. Created a new one (POP) and with 5 emails in the actual box, POP downloaded 43000 (almost 1GB and thousands of copies of each). It seems as if IMAP is stuck and not completing sends/receives and is creating many duplicates because it isn't flagging files as downloaded and proliferates copies with each try.
I like Dynadot - but you really have to get your infrastructure working correctly.
