Hi! I m trying to transfer out from another registrar to Dynadot an idn .tv, but they say i dont need an auth code for .tv -and Dynadot is asking for it-, so do i need it? or not?

There is no AUTH-CODE required for a .TV domain transfer.

Here is what Verisign had to say:

"The TV registry does not authenticate with auth-codes yet, but you need to provide one at time of registration and at the time of initiating a transfer. Even though you will be providing an auth-code at the time of the transfer, we will not authenticate it against with what we have at the registry, so you will be able to initiate the transfer with any auth-code you provide. Please note this is only for TV and CC."

So I guess you can enter anything for the auth code.

Unfortunately no, they are incorrect. We have been in the registration
business years, well before this company you are referring to. If you have
an issue with this you should that company or find a registration company
that can provided you with valid an accurate information with regards to
domain registrations and transfers.

.TV uses EPP protocol which requires an auth code for domain transfers.
