How do I set my domain search TLD settings?
Do you frequently search for domain names using the same top-level domains (TLDs)? Customize your Search TLD Settings to choose which TLDs are selected by default and create groups of your preferred TLDs for faster searching.
Your Search TLD Settings can be used with our Domain Search, Bulk Search, Advanced Search, and IDN Search.
To set up your search TLD settings, please follow these steps:
- Sign in to your Dynadot account.
- Select "My Domains" from the left-side menu bar and click on "Domain Defaults" in the drop-down.
- Click on the "Search TLD Settings" button.
- You will see two options: TLD Filters and TLD Presets.
TLD Filters
TLD Filters let you control which TLDs are selected by default when you search for domain names. They apply to the Domain Search, Advanced Search, Bulk Search, and IDN Search pages.
To customize your TLD Filters:
- Under TLD Filters, you will see a list of all TLDs currently supported by Dynadot.
- Click the checkbox next to the TLD(s).
- Choose one of the following options:
- Show — The TLD will be selected by default in your searches.
- Hide — The TLD will not be selected by default.
- Default — The TLD will follow Dynadot's default selection.
TLD Presets
TLD Presets let you create custom groups of your preferred TLDs. You can then quickly select these groups when searching on the Bulk Search, Advanced Search, IDN Search, and Bulk IDN Search pages.
To create a TLD preset:
- Under TLD Presets, click Create.
- Enter a name for your preset.
- Select the TLDs you want to include.
- Add a description if desired.
- Select Set as default if you want this preset to be used as your default TLD group.
- Click Save Setting.
You can create multiple presets to organize different groups of TLDs and make your domain searches faster and more convenient.
Note: Search TLD Settings only apply when you are signed in to your Dynadot account.
