We take your account security very seriously and have invested a great amount of resources and effort into making sure our system is safe and secure for our users by using state-of-the-art technology.

If a hacker were to gain access to your email account, it would not take much work for them to submit password lookups for any other account that is associated with your email address. Something as simple as a password lookup has resulted in domains being stolen from their owners or having their website traffic hijacked.

To prevent hackers from stealing your valuable domains, Dynadot has implemented several layers of security, including:

• Security PIN & Secret question and answer
• SMS
• Two-Factor Authenticator
• Security key
• Backup codes (You must enable a primary 2-step verification method first, before activating backup codes.)

Despite these protections, there are situations where we may require a government-issued photo ID to verify your identity. These include:

• You have forgotten your "Security PIN".
• You have forgotten or have entered an incorrect secret answer.
• You have lost your cellphone or need to reset your Google Authenticator, SMS settings, or security key.
