How do I rename the email address under my free Email plan?

Our free email plan includes one domain email address (e.g., name@yourdomain.com). You can easily rename the local part of this address (the part before the @) from your account by following the steps below.

  1. Sign in to your Dynadot account.
  2. Select "My Emails" in the left-side menu.
  3. Click the "Sign In" link on the right-side of the Email plan. This opens your webmail in a new browser tab/window.
  4. Click the "Settings" gear on the left to open up your mailbox settings.
  5. Find the "Modify Mailbox" section and edit your email address name.
  6. Click on the "Save" button to save your changes.

Changes take effect immediately. Your new email address will become the active one for sending and receiving.


Note:
  • Maximum length: 25 characters (for the local part only, before the @).
  • Allowed characters: lowercase letters a-z, numbers 0-9, hyphen -, underscore _, and period ..
  • The first character must be a letter (a-z).
  • Uppercase letters are not allowed in the local part.
Create an email alias if your email plan is the Pro version.
