I checked WHOIS and almost everything I pre-ordered was already registered. A few were from 2001, but most were recent regs and I was still allowed to pre-order them.
I really only have a shot at a few of them, unless the "inactive" ones from the early days go active. Then I have a shot at the same unregistered two that everyone else is gunning for. The rest of the good ones were already regged under other language tags.
I suppose that is good for DynaDot, but they probably should have mentioned in the FAQ that they wouldn't be checking to see if these were already registered. All that means for me is another big credit and some more second-tier domains. I am sure I am not the only one.
You right !
Since 2 days !!
Even some of mine were available....
It's a real pbm when you have not checked before...
Not a pbm for me, because credit will be use for renewals but for others members who didn't check before it's a big confusion ...
So Dynadot CHECK before SALE !
Ok, we have update our launch article to make this more clear.

What does it mean when it says "needsync"? And all the whois show that they are owned by "defualt", and yet other domains registerred today are in the registrant's name. Any ideas?

Domains are locked for 30 days after registration for the first month, to resolve any potential trademark issues.
See the article, last section.
http://www.dynadot.com/resource/article/qa.html?aid=13
The "needsync" flag means that we need to set the domain with your contact records and name servers as soon as the locks are removed.
I also can see this when I try to lock a domain:
"This domain can not be changed, probably because it is being transfered away."
Should I be worried? Is this normal?
The error message you received means that we are unable to edit the domain's settings with the central registry because the central registry itself has locked down the domain. This usually happens when a domain is being transferred to another registrar, however, this also happens when a new type of domain (in this case, Spanish ORG IDNs) are launched.
I tried to request credits for some of my domains accourding to the grace period, but it doesn't work.
Is the grace period available for the new IDNs?
How can I request credit for my domains?
Thanks
Sorry, any Spanish ORG IDNs registered in the first month after the launch cannot be grace deleted.

>Do we have to wait 30 days before the domain can be seen by the outside world?
Yes, you would have to wait 30 days from the registration date before the name servers can be set.
.ORG Spanish IDNs (not including Danish, German, Hungarian, Icelandic, Korean (Hangul), Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish and Swedish IDNs) registered between 03 March and 02 April, 2007 will be placed on Server Hold, Server Update Prohibited, Server Renew Prohibited, Server Transfer Prohibited and Server Delete Prohibited until 02 May, 2007 to allow any Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) disputes to be initiated. While locked, the domains will not resolve and cannot be updated, deleted or transferred. This will provide intellectual property owners an opportunity to identify any potential infringements. Please contact your registrar for further details.
So, just to satisfy some IP lawyer's jerkoff request, .rog owners cannot have full unhindered use of their domasin names they've paid good money for, for the first 60 days?
Gotta be a class-action lawsuit hovering around there somewhere.
