It sucks that everyone doesn't use Dynadot. So, unfortunately, when I buy domains, and they're at other registrars, I can't get the Dynadot parking page. I haven't made any money from the parking yet, but the point is that I want all my names parked in the same place. Is it possible to make it so I can park names at other registars with Dynadot?

If possible I think ANY service DynaDot provides ought to be made available to domains from other registrars.

Limitations to capabilities & availabilities are usually made by marketing people, in an attempt to FORCE all of their products & services onto the customer, whether they want them or not. How about just providing open solutions. Getting people in your door will open them up to how cool you are. Ask yourself this, are you a registrar? Or a solutions provider?

A few years ago Network Solutions had a DNS product for $10 or $20 per year. The service had a hit counter with 1-2 years of retention at the CName/ARecord level, built right into the DNS. God I loved it! I've never seen that one before. And they sold it to anybody -- even domains registered at other registrars. But then one day their marketing people turned ugly & removed it from the market. These days GoDaddy provides DNS to domains registered elsewhere. I would never really trust it though. Since they don't charge for it, you never know when they were going to disable it and say, "Oh we don't offer that any more."

That's a good idea, but we are not set up to do that right now. Currently, only domains registered at Dynadot can participate in our parking program.

But we will consider letting outside domains use our program in the future.
