SMS settings are used to add additional security to your account. All accounts require a "Security PIN" but it is a good idea to also add our two-factor authentication settings. These include SMS authentication, which uses your cellphone's Short Message Service, aka texting service, to verify your identity when you unlock your account. You can also add Google Authenticator either in addition to SMS or instead of SMS. Both of these settings are optional, however, they can increase the security of your Dynadot account.
