Geo Forwarding allows you to redirect visitors to different URLs based on their geographic location. This is useful for creating region-specific content, promotions, or language versions of your website.

Step 1: Create a Geo Forwarding Template

1. Sign in to your Dynadot account
2. Select "My Domains" from the left-side menu bar and click "Forwarding Templates" in the drop-down.
3. Click "Add Template" button at the right top of the page
4. Define Defaults:
   ◦ Template Name: Give your template a recognizable name.
   ◦ Default Forward URL: Enter the URL for visitors from regions you haven't specifically defined.
   ◦ Redirect Type: Default is 302 Redirect. Click the dropdown to select 301 Redirect if needed. Learn about redirect differences here.
5. Add Specific Regions:
   ◦ Click the "Add Country/Region" button.
   ◦ Search and select your desired locations (multiple selections are supported).
   ◦ Click Save after selecting countries to add them to the list.
6. In the box next to each selected Country/Region, enter the specific target URL. You may also customize the redirect code (302/301) for individual regions
7. Click Save to save your changes.

Note: Once a template is saved, you cannot add additional countries/regions to it. You can only edit or delete existing Geo Forwarding URLs or create new templates.

Step 2: Apply the Template to Your Domain

Once your template is ready, follow these steps to set it for your domain.

1. Select "My Domains" from the left-side menu bar and click "Manage Domains" in the drop-down.
2. Check the box next to your domain name(s) and click on the "Action" button.
3. Choose "DNS Settings" from the "Action" list.
4. On the DNS Settings page, select the "Geo Forwarding" setting from the top drop-down menu.
5. Select your pre-created template from the dropdown menu. Or click "Management templates" to create a new template.
6. Press the "Forward Domains" button to save your changes.
